Golf, downhill skiing, horseback riding, sailing and PT - with the wellness allowance
From now on you can use your wellness allowance for golf, equitation, sailing and alpine skiing. The Swedish tax agency have issued new directives for these types of sports, which have not previously been covered by the wellness allowance.
- Golf is approved if it concerns pay and play, driving range, green fee or golf lesson.
- Horseback riding is approved if it concerns riding lesson.
- Downhill skiing is approved if it concerns lift pass
- Sailing is approved if it concerns sailing lesson.
Personal training is approved when the cost of one occasion does not exceed 1000 SEK. The activity will not be approved if it takes place in the employee's private residence or in connection to the employee's private residence.
Please note that the wellness allowance will not cover the cost for membership in a club for any of the above activities. This regardless of wether the club is run as a non-profit association or company. Renting equipment for any of the above activities is not covered by the wellness allowance.
We are now in the process of connecting clubs and facilities that offer golf, equitation, skiing, personal training and sailing. Let us know where you would like to use your wellness allowance and leave us a recommendation!
